As a HammondCare At Home volunteer, you’ll spend time with someone in your local community who may be lonely or socially isolated. Were looking for caring individuals in the Central Coast who can sit and have a chat, reminisce and talk about topics of interest with elderly people in their own homes. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help older people feel less isolated. Your visits will bring great joy to the client you are matched with. The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme is funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community. Requirements 18 years or older • National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare • Evidence of COVID-19 vaccination will be required (Two doses) One hour visits for 6 months or longer. Wed be happy to discuss a suitable time between Monday to Friday, 9am-4pm.
