Our client is looking for a full time Service Technician for their Welshpool(Perth Branch) to perform routine maintenance, breakdown 24/7 operation and fault-finding work on a large variety of Air Compressors and Generators. You will require Mechanical Trade to be successful in this role. Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to: Troubleshooting and fault finding/Mechanical & Electrical (have ability to read Electrical schematics) Routine servicing of mechanical systems General maintenance and servicing of compressed air systems/generators in workshop and customer sites The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate the following: Maintenance background Relevant mechanical trade qualifications Ability to study drawings and specifications to determine suitable material, method and sequence of operations, and machine settings Skilled in fitting fabricated metal parts into products and assembling metal parts and subassemblies to produce machines and equipment Ability to check fabricated and assembled metal parts for accuracy, clearance and fit using precision measuring instruments Ability to form metal stock and castings to fine tolerances using machining tools to press, cut, grind, plane, bore and drill metal Diagnosing skill to find faults and performing operational maintenance of machines, and overhauling and repairing mechanical parts and fluid power equipment A commitment to workplace safety Previous experience working on compressed air or industrial equipment will be viewed as desirable however is not essential, so please apply if you do not have Compressor experience. Good computer literacy and administration skills. Restricted Electrical License is preferred but not essential. The successful candidate will receive a salary of $75,000-$ 95,000 per annum plus superannuation depending on experience, skills and qualifications. You will be provided with a fully maintained company service vehicle, mobile telephone and company uniform will be supplied.
