We are hiring two distinct Workday roles as part of a major HCM program rollout: Workday Platform Architect (Strategic Design Lead)Workday Specialist – Solution Configuration (Hands-On Implementation) Join a team delivering cutting-edge Workday solutions, including the Talent & Performance Module rollout, in a high-impact environment. About the TWO Roles: 1. Workday Platform Architect A strategic, high-level architecture role suited to a Workday veteran with deep exposure across all Workday HCM modules. Key Responsibilities: Lead architecture of scalable, maintainable, and business-aligned Workday solutions.Work with functional and technical teams to define solution architectures and integration strategies.Develop and document platform-wide functional and technical design frameworks.Collaborate with business leaders and product owners to translate requirements into enterprise-grade designs. Ideal Background: 5 years of functional Workday experience across multiple HCM modules.Proven experience in Workday solution design, stakeholder collaboration, and architectural documentation.Prior exposure to Rio Tinto Business Solutions is a bonus but not required. 2. Workday Configuration Specialist A hands-on delivery role ideal for a functional consultant or Workday implementation expert with configuration expertise—especially in the Talent & Performance Module. Key Responsibilities: Configure and deploy Workday modules aligned with business processes and standards.Manage platform maintenance, security, release updates, and deployments.Translate stakeholder needs into Workday configurations and enhancements.Support operational data pipelines and analytics infrastructures. Ideal Background: 3–5 years’ hands-on Workday configuration and implementation experience.Strong understanding of active Talent & Performance module is highly regarded.Functional knowledge in HR and Payroll systems will be essential. What We’re Looking For Candidates with strong functional Workday HCM experience only – no SAP, Oracle, or generalist backgrounds.Located in Brisbane or Perth preferred. Candidates in Sydney or Melbourne will also be considered, with occasional office visits expected early in the engagement.Availability to start within a few weeks; previous contract experience preferred. Contract Details Duration: 6 months (until December 2025), with strong potential for extension.Pay Rate: AUD $1000–1150/day Super (based on seniority and fit).Work Mode: Primarily remote with some initial in-office meetings, especially for Sydney/Melbourne-based hires.
