About the role: We have an exciting opportunity to work at Box Hill Institute as our Veterinary Nurse . This is a casual opportunity based at our Box Hill Elgar Campus. The salary for this role is PACCT 3.2 $38.90 per hour. This position reports directly to the Manager - Science & Animal Studies, and sits within the Science & Animal Studies area of the Faculty of Health, Community & Life Sciences. What you'll do: Provide veterinary nursing and administration support within Pets on Elgar Veterinary and Grooming Clinic Support the delivery of teaching practices and resources that engage and satisfy students Ensure support practices meet industry/employer needs Enable students to gain employment or move on to further study Provide a learning environment that supports students to complete their qualification Build and enhance collaborative relationships with internal and external clients About you: Your values align to ours . Listen to clients and actively seeks to meet client needs while delivering high quality outcomes Excellent organisational and planning skills Establishes and maintains respectful relationships with internal and external clients Have, or be willing to obtain, Victorian Working with Children Check and National Police Check clearance Qualifications and experience: Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or higher level qualification. Minimum 3 years' experience as a veterinary nurse in veterinary practice. Use of common veterinary software with high level proficiency on the use of Microsoft word programs. Experience related to compliance and regulatory practices related to WHS, client confidentiality, animal welfare, animal ethics and use of drugs in veterinary practice. Maintain documentation for resource management High level of interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, with demonstrated experience in preparing high quality, accurate correspondence and reports to stakeholders About us: We are proud to be a leading education provider with a strong reputation for delivering high quality educational outcomes.
