Key responsibilities will include : Attaching trims, fasteners, feet, wheels and buttons; Completing wooden surfaces on furniture; Conferring with management and clients to determine the materials and costs of furniture items to be made or repaired; Making and repairing frames and removing and replacing defective springs; Measuring and cutting materials and upholstering furniture; Padding and covering spring units to upholster chairs and sofas; Removing coverings, webbing and padding from damaged furniture; Seaming cushions and joining sections of covering material; Securing material, padding, springs and webbing to articles to be upholstered. To be considered, you must hold a qualification relevant to the Upholsterer occupation and 2 years of post-qualification employment experience OR at least three years of relevant upholsterer employment experience. A remuneration package of $78,000 - $85,000 per annum will be offered to the successful candidate. This is a full time position and an immediate start is available.
