The Role Adbri is seeking a skilled Technical Writer to support our Learning & Development team by documenting operational job skill requirements identified in a recent Training Needs Analysis (TNA). This flexible, remote position will work closely with subject matter experts (SMEs) and L&D stakeholders to develop clear, standardised, and structured training documents that enable workforce capability uplift across our operational sites. This is a full time, maximum term contract for 3 months, with a highly competitive hourly rate! Key Responsibilities Create high-quality training documents for various operational roles by collating and interpreting TNA findings. Develop supporting artefacts, including role profiles and process summaries. Ensure documentation is clear, consistent, and compliant with internal style guidelines and standards. Collaborate effectively with SMEs and L&D stakeholders to validate content accuracy and relevance. What You Will Need to Succeed Proven experience as a technical writer, ideally within L&D, compliance, or operational environments. Strong ability to translate operational and stakeholder input into structured, user-friendly documents. Familiarity with training frameworks, competency mapping, or workforce capability models. Excellent writing, formatting, and document design skills (MS Word, Excel; instructional design tools a plus). Ability to work independently while managing input and feedback from multiple stakeholders. Industry experience in mining, manufacturing, construction materials, or heavy industry preferred. Understanding of competency frameworks, training governance, and systems such as LMS or HRIS.
