Airbus Australia delivers new Airbus Helicopters machines and supports more than 500 aircraft through a network of local facilities. About The Role This position leads the coordination and management of C-130J aircrew publications on behalf of 84WG. You will work closely with aircrew, engineers, technical illustrators, OEMs, and internal support teams to compile and maintain essential technical and operational documentation. The suite includes owner's manuals, checklists, technical instructions, and safety documentation in both hardcopy and digital formats. You'll also play a key role in mentoring and training 84WG and Airbus colleagues, driving document quality, and supporting the implementation of the Airbus Australia Pacific (AAP) strategy. Key Responsibilities Include Manage production, amendment, and distribution of the C-130J Aircrew Publications Suite.Collaborate with aircrew, engineering, logistics, and external agencies (e.g., OEMs, Defence Publishing Services) to ensure timely and accurate publication outputs.Coordinate feedback loops between internal stakeholders and incorporate minor amendments to technical illustrations.Support customer training and guidance on publication systems and tools.Prepare reports and briefs for management and participate in Management by Objectives (MBOs) workshops.Ensure compliance with Defence and regulatory documentation standards (e.g., DASR, STE). About You To be successful in this role, it is a requirement to be able to work in a team environment, have well developed relationship skills as well as good verbal and written skills. You will need to be someone who is able to work autonomously and to tight deadlines and work comfortable in a continious improvement environment. The skills best suited to this role: Essential Experience And Knowledge 3–5 years' experience in technical publication production and management.Proficient in Microsoft Office and experienced in Adobe Suite or similar documentation tools.Demonstrated experience writing and editing technical manuals and documentation.Strong communication skills and ability to meet deadlines under pressure.Experience managing teams, competencies, or resources, with a focus on performance outcomes.Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Aircraft Technical Trade Qualification and/or equivalent industry experience. Desirable Experience in Defence technical publications or RAAF environment.Familiarity with Simplified Technical English and hardcopy/electronic publication workflows.Knowledge of DASR regulations and ADF technical documentation standards.Previous experience as an aircrew member or in aircraft maintenance.Formal training in Adobe or Microsoft software (desirable).
