The key duties of the position include The Role In the Directorate of Military Justice Performance and Review within the Office of the Inspector-General of the ADF, Team Leader Reporting and Monitoring will be responsible to: Support the Assistant Director Systems & Data with implementing recommendation 54 (b) of the Royal Commission into Defence and Veteran Suicide. Longitudinal study team to determine trends, themes and issues of concern identified in the final Audit Reports. Drafting and preparing detailed audit reports, minutes, strategic briefs and providing OIGADF statistics data. Identify and undertake analysis to structure, solve and provide advice on complex data problems, including gathering and exploring from a variety data sources. Identify, analyse and report on trends, patterns and insights from Military Justice Performance Audit Reports, including military justice survey results and corrective actions. Support the development and implementation of data analysis methodologies, tools, techniques and dashboards that aid users to understand the significance of the data. Attend internal and external meetings to observe Defence Military Justice performance, programs and tools. Work closely with the Audit Operations and Assurance teams to synchronise systems and data effects through pre-audit, audit and post-audit phases to enhance current Audit tools, spreadsheets, workflows, systems and resources. Lead a small team and be able to work independently. The Team Leader Reporting & Monitoring will also provide support to other staff functions within Office of the IGADF as needed with the following tasks: Office of the IGADF: Provide support to other areas of the Office of the IGADF as directed by Director of MJPR & ADSA. DMJPR: Provide support to planning and conduct of Military Justice Audits on an ad-hoc basis. Operations Team: Pre-audit planning data tools to support longitudinal study, these tools include DECMS, MARS, Audit projections and audit cycle planning spreadsheets. Also, support with collation of final audit reports. Assurance Team: Input data sources /programs to support with overdue reports, corrective actions and audit checklists. About our Team The Office supports the Inspector-General of the Australian Defence Force in their statutory functions of overseeing the effectiveness of the military justice system. Directorate of Military Justice Performance Review is responsible for improving the frequency of Military Justice Performance Audits and conducting longitudinal studies of all Audit Reports every two years to determine trends, themes and issues of concern, and provide the outcomes of this analysis to the Chief of the Defence Force, the Minister for Defence and the Minister for Defence Personnel. Our Ideal Candidate You will demonstrate: Exceptional communication and writing skills, In-depth knowledge and understanding of data analytics, including data mining, statistical analysis, predictive modelling and data visualization. Highly developed written and verbal communication skills. Report writing experience that requires analysis, data interpretation, and evaluation.
