Together we Make the Difference teammelbourne How this position will Make the Difference to City of Melbourne The City of Melbourne is seeking an experienced and passionate leader to join the Community Wellbeing Branch as Team Leader, Community and Partnerships in the Healthy Ageing team. This important role supports older people to live and age well through the delivery of inclusive, responsive and impactful programs and services. The Community Wellbeing Branch provides a broad range of services that promote health, wellbeing and social connection across all life stages. Within this, the Healthy Ageing team delivers local initiatives that help older residents stay connected, supported and active in their communities. The Team Leader, Community and Partnerships will provide strategic and operational leadership to a dedicated team, overseeing the planning, delivery and evaluation of neighbourhood centres, wellbeing programs and partnerships that promote healthy ageing. The role is responsible for building a collaborative and high-performing team culture, developing staff capabilities and ensuring services meet evolving community needs. Key responsibilities include leading program development, community engagement, needs analysis and external partnerships, as well as working across Council to ensure older Melburnians are considered in all aspects of planning and service design. This is an exciting opportunity for a forward-thinking leader with a strong background in community development, healthy ageing and strategic partnerships to contribute to a more inclusive, age-friendly Melbourne. Selection Criteria (What you will bring) All CoM employees will demonstrate an ability to articulate and demonstrate benefits of positive culture and City of Melbourne’s iCare values – Integrity, Courage, Accountability, Respect, Excellence Proven leadership capability and experience, including leading by example and consistently working towards a constructive culture. Tertiary qualifications to degree level in a professional discipline directly relating to services provided by the team. Extensive experience in the aged, community or health services sector. Advanced understanding of contemporary issues and trends pertaining to healthy ageing including Age-Friendly frameworks. Highly developed strategic planning, policy development, project management and written communication skills. Proven experience in financial management.
