We are seeking a suitably experienced Student Health Officer to join our College Student Health team on a fixed-term, part-time basis until 27 January 2027 at our Officer Campus. This position is responsible for providing first aid assistance, supporting students’ health and wellbeing during the school day, and coordinating health programs across the College. The days and hours of work are Monday to Friday, 8:45 a.m. – 3:15 p.m. (0.79 FTE). Key responsibilities include: Providing first aid and health support to students, staff and visitors as required Managing student medical conditions, including medication administration and communication with parents, staff and external professionals Supporting health programs such as immunisations and dental visits Maintaining accurate treatment notes, medical records and student health profiles Coordinating medical requirements for excursions and camps, including high-risk activities Ensuring first aid supplies and equipment are stocked and maintained Acting as an Anaphylaxis Supervisor, including overseeing staff training and compliance Attending College events and activities as required (e.g. sports events, camps) Briefing staff on student health needs and guiding College health processes Responding to emergencies, including critical incidents and escalating to 000 if necessary Working collaboratively across teams to support student care and wellbeing The successful candidate will have the following experience, skills and attributes: Level 2 First Aid qualification (essential) Experience in a health-related role or working with young people Strong administration, organisation and communication skills Ability to remain calm, professional and clear in stressful situations Proficiency in Microsoft Office and student information systems Commitment to child safety and wellbeing Why work at St Francis Xavier College?
