Structural Steel Painter – Full-Time Southeast Suburbs, Melbourne | Structural Steel Fabrication | Full-Time | Competitive Hourly Rate About Us Continental Steel is a fast-growing and ambitious structural steel fabricator, based in the Southeast Suburbs of Melbourne. We specialise in heavy steel construction and deliver projects across residential, commercial, and industrial sectors – from warehouses and hospitals to airports, petrochemical plants and mining. We are seeking a Skilled Structural Steel Painter to join our team in a modern, fast-paced workshop environment. Key Responsibilities - Surface preparation of structural steel using grinding, sanding, or blasting - Prime coating and spray painting using industrial equipment - Manual coating and touch-up of fabricated components - Operate and maintain spray booths and painting tools - Coordinate dispatch of finished items with the area supervisor - Ensure adherence to quality and safety standards What You’ll Bring - Minimum 2 years’ experience in steel or industrial painting - Overhead crane and forklift operation experience (forklift licence desirable) - Previous work in a hands-on workshop environment - Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality - Ability to work independently and follow job instructions - Sound work ethic and positive team attitude What We Offer - Competitive hourly rate based on experience - Morning shift: 5:00am–1:30pm | Afternoon shift: 2:00pm–10:30pm - Secure, full-time employment – 40 hours per week - A modern workshop with new equipment and facilities - Great team culture – young, ambitious, and collaborative Work Eligibility Candidates with full working rights and no restriction on hours are preferred.
