The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced and strategic Linehaul professional to lead our VIC and SA operations. As State Manager - Linehaul, you will be accountable for service delivery, safety, compliance, and financial performance across both states, driving operational excellence and delivering long-term growth. Reporting to the General Manager of Linehaul, you’ll lead a high-performing team while engaging with clients, internal stakeholders, and regulatory bodies. You will bring an agile, commercially focused approach and a passion for continuous improvement to influence operational strategy and deliver measurable results. Further to the above other key activities will be: Lead the operational and financial performance of SA & Vic, ensuring profitability and accountability for P&L outcomesEngage and support staff daily on safety practices, fostering a culture of care and promoting Safety Improvement PlansDevelop and maintain excellent working relationships with wider departments, senior management, clients and customersEnhance and implement supply chain practices to ensure compliance with regulations and environmental best practicesLead all facets of safety, service delivery and cost control within the Linehaul company fleet businessEnsure strict compliance with SA/Victorian regulations, including NHVR, CoR, WHS laws, and internal policiesSupport tender negotiations and contribute to business development efforts for prospective new customers What You Will Bring: Extensive experience in a senior management role within the Supply Chain industryA proven track record in managing and optimizing complex transport operations and supply chain networksP&L management skills, with a solid financial and analytical acumenExceptional stakeholder management, influencing, and business partnering abilitiesA strategic decision-making mindset, with the ability to make timely and effective business decisions while identifying opportunities for improvementA continuous improvement approach, with strong problem-solving skills and a solutions-oriented mindset What you’ll love when you join us: Sustainability: Contribute to sustainability initiatives that make a difference.Supportive Environment: Be part of a team that values safety, respect, and collaboration.Career Growth: Opportunities for further training and career advancement within the company You will be required to meet Visy’s employment criteria which will include a criminal history check and pre-employment medical (including drug & alcohol testing).
