Software Engineer - Java - Location: Sydney - Salary: $110K - $130K (Inc. Super) We’re on the lookout for a Software Engineer with Java experience to join a collaborative and delivery-driven engineering team working on complex, large-scale systems that have a real-world impact. What You’ll Be Doing Designing, building and maintaining backend services in Java (8) using Spring Boot Developing REST APIs and microservices that integrate with enterprise-grade systems Working closely with DevOps, cloud, and frontend engineers in cross-functional squads Participating in architecture discussions, sprint planning, and peer code reviews Delivering clean, maintainable, and testable code using best practices Tech Stack & Tools Java, Spring Boot, Maven/Gradle AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms RESTful APIs, Microservices architecture Git, CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Bitbucket Pipelines, etc.) Agile, Scrum, JIRA, Confluence What You’ll Bring Strong commercial experience with Java and the broader Spring ecosystem Experience working in Agile teams on backend-focused projects Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS or Azure Familiarity with microservices, containerisation, and CI/CD pipelines Excellent communication skills and a proactive mindset What’s In It For You?
