6-month initial CONTRACT with potential extensions Hybrid working arrangement (2-3 days in CBD) Daily Rate: $1200 (inc SUPER) Must have experience in the Utility industry ROLE OVERVIEW We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead large-scale infrastructure programs across the utilities sector. This role will be pivotal in delivering end-to-end project outcomes, from planning through to execution, with a strong focus on electrical and renewable energy initiatives. You will manage multidisciplinary teams, drive program delivery, and build strong partnerships with stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING Lead and oversee the delivery of major infrastructure projects and programs across electricity, fibre networks, and renewable energy initiatives. Manage project lifecycles including scope, design, construction, commissioning, and handover. Build and lead diverse project teams, ensuring strong capability, cross-skilling, and workforce engagement. Develop and implement strategies to improve delivery processes, reduce costs, and drive innovation in project execution. Oversee tender evaluations, contract management, and vendor performance to support effective program outcomes. Manage budgets, schedules, risks, and reporting across multiple high-value programs of work. Collaborate with internal teams, utilities, regulators, and clients to achieve commercially and operationally sound outcomes. Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory frameworks in all project activities. Lead organisational change initiatives, workforce reform, and transformation programs to support strategic business objectives. MORE ABOUT YOU Proven experience managing large, complex infrastructure projects within the utility/energy sector. Strong track record of delivering projects such as fibre network builds, substation projects, renewable energy connections etc. Demonstrated expertise in program management, including scheduling, resource planning, contract administration, and budget oversight. Skilled in leading teams through organisational change, workforce transformation, and multi-discipline project delivery. Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence, negotiate, and build strong client and partner relationships. Commercially astute with the ability to identify new opportunities, grow business capability, and deliver value-driven outcomes. Strong safety, risk management, and compliance mindset with extensive on-site project delivery experience. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline; postgraduate qualifications in Project Management highly regarded.
