About the Role Our Procurement team is expanding and we’re looking for a Senior Category Manager - Technology to join our vast community of solvers. The Procurement team brings our purpose to life by leading and executing strategic sourcing initiatives for technology categories within PwC's Australian procurement function You’ll help solve complex problems by using your skills in: Procurement specializing in technology categories Spend analytics tools and PowerBI dashboards Contract lifecycle management (CLM) systems IT asset management and software license management tools, including e-procurement systems (e.g., Zycus, Ariba, Coupa) - Desirable In our Procurement team, your impact will be seen by: Developing and implementing category strategies for IT hardware, software, cloud services, and telecommunications Leading complex sourcing projects, including RFx processes, negotiations, and contract management Optimizing total cost of ownership (TCO) across technology spend categories Fostering innovation and driving digital transformation through strategic supplier partnerships Collaborating with IT and business stakeholders to align procurement strategies with business needs Implementing and maintaining category performance metrics and reporting Managing and developing a team of two Category Managers and two Procurement Specialists Overseeing workload distribution and performance management of direct reports More About You You have 5 years of procurement experience, with at least 3 years specializing in technology categories You have Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, or related field Ideally, you have professional certification in procurement (e.g., CPSM, MCIPS) and IT-related certifications (e.g., ITIL, CISSP) You have deep understanding of IT hardware, infrastructure, software licensing models, IT Consulting Services and cloud services You have proven track record in driving cost savings and value creation in technology procurement You have strong analytical skills and experience with data-driven decision making You have excellent negotiation and stakeholder management abilities You are a strategic thinker and has ability to translate business needs into procurement strategies You have knowledge of procurement best practices and methodologies (e.g., category management, strategic sourcing) You have experience working in a global, matrix organization Preferably, you have familiarity with professional services industry You have advanced Microsoft Suite (Powerpoint, Excel, Word) About PwC At PwC, we are a human-led, tech-powered community of solvers.
