We’re looking for a commercially sharp, data-led Senior Portfolio Optimisation Manager to lead high-impact programs that improve portfolio efficiency, pricing architecture, and market alignment. You’ll translate data into strategy, and strategy into execution—delivering tangible commercial outcomes across multiple functions and markets. This 3-year fixed-term opportunity has opened due to an exciting internal career move, highlighting the career opportunities and internal mobility we actively foster! What you’ll lead: Portfolio simplification: Develop and execute SKU and bulk rationalisation strategies, using metrics like sales contribution, gross margin, and bulk efficiency to reduce complexity and free up working capital Pack Price Architecture (PPA): Define and refine pack/price tiers, optimise multi-market alignment, and improve GP/NS metrics through structured commercial modelling and testing Category and bulk diagnostics: Deliver routine analytics on category performance, SKU profitability, bulk usage and turns; flag underperformers and identify expansion opportunities Data tools and frameworks: Design and deploy decision-support dashboards and optimisation models in Excel, Power BI or equivalent to guide strategic planning and local market execution Cross-functional and regional alignment: Partner with Marketing, Ops, Regulatory, Insights and regional commercial leads to align on simplification, pricing, and innovation decisions What you’ll bring: 10 years in portfolio strategy, category management, or commercial analytics, ideally within FMCG or health-related consumer sectors Strong Excel, Power BI/Tableau, and large dataset analysis—able to extract insights from diverse sources and create clear, actionable recommendations Commercial fluency in pricing architecture, gross margin levers, product lifecycle management, and portfolio profitability Track record of leading programs across matrixed and multicultural organisations, with strong influencing and stakeholder engagement skills Ability to design and implement prioritisation frameworks and category review processes Strong business storytelling—confident communicating complex data in a way that resonates with diverse stakeholders A passion for working across markets, with sensitivity to different cultural needs and the agility to flex when needed Hands-on mindset—you can zoom in to troubleshoot or model solutions on the spot and zoom out to shape long-term strategy What’s in it for you: The opportunity to make a measurable impact across iconic and growing brands A purpose-led culture committed to health, wellbeing and sustainability Flexible hybrid working and supportive leadership to help you thrive Access to beautiful offices in Warriewood and Surry Hills (5min from Central) Product allowances, staff discounts and health & wellbeing benefits Ready to translate data into direction and lead strategy that delivers impact?
