Job Description: Role title: Senior Podiatrist - High Risk Foot Inclusive Health Project Role type: Max-term, Part-time till June 2026 (16 hours per week) Role grade: Podiatrist Level 3 Department and location: Podiatry, St Vincent’s Hospital, Darlinghurst Salary: $112,396 - $116,038 p.a Super Salary packaging Better and fairer care. About the role Deliver expert clinical care for complex foot conditions across inpatient, outpatient, and outreach settings, using advanced assessment tools and holistic approaches. Lead the development of a Model of Care and clinical pathways to provide tailored services for vulnerable populations, including participation in relevant research projects. Work autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary High Risk Foot Service, advocating for patients and coordinating care to reduce hospital readmissions. Educate patients, carers, and staff, supervise students, and provide clinical guidance to enhance service delivery and support continuous learning. Adapt to changing caseloads with flexible prioritisation, act as a community resource, and contribute to service development that meets patient needs. Recognised degree in Podiatry, current AHPRA registration, unrestricted NSW driver’s licence, and availability to work two weekdays (Monday to Friday). Extensive postgraduate clinical experience—minimum 5 years—in acute and community High Risk Foot clinics, with specialist skills in wound management and offloading, including casting. Excellent decision-making, negotiation, and advocacy skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and organisational levels. Self-motivated and adaptable, able to work independently and as part of multidisciplinary teams, applying advanced clinical reasoning in complex and critical situations. Strong communicator with proficient computer skills (MS Word, Email, electronic medical records) and a commitment to ongoing professional development, quality improvement, and evidence-based practice.
