The Role As a Senior Full Stack Engineer at Haast, you'll play a pivotal role in designing, building, and scaling core features across our modern stack (Python, Svelte, FastAPI). You’ll help drive architectural decisions, elevate engineering practices, and mentor team members. While the focus is front end heavy,, your full stack expertise will help shape how our AI platform scales with speed, quality, and clarity. Your work will directly impact our platform's ability to process thousands of compliance assets daily while maintaining our rapid growth trajectory. We're looking for someone who's excited about building intuitive interfaces and robust backend systems that power our AI compliance engine. Impact you'll make Architect and develop new features on our Svelte-based front end Lead performance tuning and optimisation of our UI layer Drive improvements in automated testing, observability, and CI/CD pipelines Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews, pairing, and design discussions Collaborate closely with product and design to build experiences that feel seamless and intuitive What you'll bring Must Have: A proven ability to own and deliver complex features end to end A strong eye for design and high attention to detail Deep experience with modern web frameworks (e.g. Svelte, React, Vue) and architectural patterns A track record of building reliable, scalable web applications in fast-moving environments Experience mentoring others or elevating team-wide engineering practices A passion for clean, maintainable code and thoughtful technical decisions Bonus points for: Hands-on experience with FastAPI, Svelte, or Python in production environments Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and GitHub Actions Interest in AI/ML systems or a willingness to work closely with them Comfort collaborating across disciplines in a product-driven team Previous experience in a startup or high-growth company Why Haast Growth and Impact: Leading the evolution from dull, traditional SaaS to AI-powered workflows (because nobody ever said "I love manually reviewing disclaimers!")
