The Employer: JS Grant & Co. is a 7,600 Ha family-run operation based near Temora, NSW. With 3,400 Ha dedicated to dryland crops, the farm produces high-quality yields of wheat, canola, and barley. Priding themselves on modern and efficient equipment, the farm utilises CASE IH and New Holland machinery, a 4450 Patriot sprayer, an air seeder, spreaders, trucks, and various tractors. JS Grant & Co. has a proven track record of long-standing staff retention and is dedicated to providing a safe, welcoming, and inclusive team environment, with a standardised working week and time in lieu system in place. The Role We are seeking an experienced individual with a strong background in cropping and plant operations to join our established team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in all aspects of the dryland cropping cycle, including cultivation, sowing, spraying, fertilising, and harvesting. A minimum of two years of relevant cropping experience and spraying expertise is essential. A strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to maintain machinery and infrastructure are essential, particularly with the modern CASE & New Holland equipment fleet. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, loyal, and passionate about agriculture, possessing a positive attitude and a strong desire to learn and grow within the role. The enterprise comprises a 4,500-head self-replacing Merino & First-Cross ewe flock, producing prime lambs and quality wool. The successful candidate must possess practical, hands-on experience in sheep health and animal husbandry. The farm features a newly constructed and practical set of Proway sheepyards. The Offer Various accommodation options (including electricity) are available on the farm or in Temora to suit the successful candidate's needs. All are within a short distance of school bus access. Within a 50-minute drive of the farm is the major regional city of Wagga Wagga, alongside the Murrimbidgee River. The Ideal Candidate We seek a knowledgeable individual with livestock, cropping and machinery experience, who has a mature and respectful approach to their professional and personal life.
