Responsibilities: Lead, direct, and drive data governance/management best practices into operational business platforms across the Medibank data landscape.Develop, coordinate and influence engagement with business stakeholders, across operational boundaries, to clearly communicate measures and actions for assessing and resolving enterprise data challenges across the asset management & information lifecycle landscape.Broker decisions within and across business functions, where competing or conflicting priorities exist, adopting a data risk management lens. Facilitation and conflict resolution skills to assist in resolving the different points of view and requirements that invariably collide during cross-team and cross-pollinated organisational initiatives.Provide high-quality consolidated reporting through to senior Medibank stakeholders, with a specific lens on dimensions of governance, risk & compliance.In-depth industry knowledge covering the scope of Medibank enterprise key business processes and their impact across business platforms and corporate entity structures.Understanding of how data is used within business processes, across the information lifecycle and its impact on desired business process outcomes.Awareness of the security, privacy, and quality requirements for critical data entities, assessing acceptable use of information and adherence to specific business entity protocols.Experience with data analysis techniques, tools, and methodologies.Solid project management skills to guide direction of data quality, retention, security, and privacy improvement initiatives.Deep and comprehensive understanding of the importance and impact of data (or bad data) on the business’ ability to meet objectives.Ability to identify and lead organisational change initiatives across Data Governance/Management disciplines, scaling up or down where appropriate. Experience & technical skills: Minimum of 10 years of experience in a major services organisation with large-scale enterprise data governance and/or management oversight experience.A recognised information management certified qualification (e.g. Bachelor of Information Management) or equivalent (e.g. CDMP) is preferred.Knowledge of industry-leading data quality and data protection management practices.Demonstrated engagement and consulting skills with change management concepts and strategies, including communication, culture change and KPI design.Knowledge of data architecture and technology risk management practices and solutions.
