Senior Data Engineer – AWS, Snowflake, Kafka, dbt Melbourne (Hybrid) | Permanent Role | 150–180 Super About the Opportunity Join a leading consultancy on a high-impact digital program is underway to enhance enterprise data capabilities across cloud and real-time platforms. This role plays a pivotal part in delivering high-performance data infrastructure using AWS, Snowflake, dbt, and Kafka. What You’ll Be DoingBuild and optimize data pipelines using AWS (Glue, Lambda, S3), dbt, and SnowflakeIntegrate real-time streaming solutions using Kafka to support data-driven applicationsDesign and implement robust data models and transformation logicCollaborate with cross-functional teams on end-to-end architecture and deliveryImplement automation, monitoring, and CI/CD best practicesChampion data quality, lineage, and governance throughout the data lifecycle Key Skills & Experience5 years in data engineering roles across cloud environmentsIdeally some consulting experienceAdvanced experience with Snowflake, AWS data tools, SQL, and PythonStrong knowledge of dbt for transformation pipelines and modular developmentProficiency in Kafka or equivalent real-time streaming platformsExperience with data orchestration, automation, and DevOps integrationFamiliarity with security, compliance, and metadata management practices Preferred (Nice to Have)dbt or AWS Certification (Data Analytics or DevOps)Experience with infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation)Exposure to high-volume transactional environments or digital platforms Ready to Apply?Send your CV or reach out for a confidential chat about your next data engineering challenge. dan.wotherspoon@changerecruitment.com.au
