Senior Overseer – Facilities Maintenance - Electrical Corrective Services NSW Junee Correctional Centre Location – Junee Correctional Centre Employment Type – Ongoing, Full Time Salary - $101,986 pa Incidental Allowance Superannuation Leave Loading Your role Corrective Services Industries is currently seeking a qualified candidate and supervisor for the Senior Overseer role at Junee Correctional Centre. What You’ll Do In this role you will provide leadership and mentoring to Overseers and supervise and develop inmates through managing, coaching, instructing, and encouraging them, as members of a team, in order that they may improve their work skills, enhance their post-release employment prospects, and contribute productively to Business Unit objectives. As part of this role, the duties include however are not limited to: Supervise and train inmates to develop their work skills in order to enhance their post-release employment opportunities, thereby reducing their risk of re-offending.Contribute to the business unit operations through the delivery of work related inmate training Provide detailed input to case management reporting through the Work Readiness Program.Create and maintain a safe working environment for staff, contractors, inmates and visitors to comply with Work Health & Safety legislation. As a Standout Candidate You Will Have Trade experience as an Electrician The successful candidate will be paid to undertake Primary Training for Certificate III in Correctional Practice What We’re Looking For Current Certificate III or higher in Relevant trade or tertiary qualifications (minimum Certificate III level) in Electrical Hold relevant Fair Trading Electrical Licence/ Certificate Current Certificate III in Correctional Practice or capacity to complete within specified timeframesCurrent NSW Drivers Licence and preparedness to drive to locations as requiredBe part of an on-call rotation afterhours roster.
