As a Senior Child Safety Support Officer - KIN Connect you will: - Effectively and positively engage with children, families, carers and service providers (including both government and non-government agencies) as required to support children through family, community and within culture and to have with identified case plan goals.- Provide individualised, high quality, and culturally appropriate supports to children and families subject to tertiary child protection intervention including but not limited to; facilitation of positive family connection, referrals and advocacy for services, parent and kinship carer coaching and support of transition from care plans.- Work collaboratively with key stakeholders, children, parents and kinship carers to support the establishment and strengthening of effective safety and support networks, including connection to extended family and community.- Provide high quality, comprehensive casework support and advice to assist in informing decisions about the safety and protective needs of children where complex child protection concerns are present.- Participate effectively as a team member in a multidisciplinary team to deliver well-planned family support services to vulnerable children and families.- Actively contribute to a culture of continuous learning, training and professional development, to ensure practice knowledge and skills are contemporary and evidence based.- Prepare and maintain quality case records in accordance with departmental case management requirements. Your mandatory requirements It is a requirement that the applicant hold a current 'C' Class Drivers licence.Blue card: this role provides support services to children and young people and therefore will require a valid Blue Card with the organisation.
