About the RoleMarketing Automation Technical Architect role is to lead the design, implementation and optimisation of enterprise-grade marketing automation ecosystems. This role plays a critical part in transforming customer engagement through seamless orchestration of campaigns, real-time personalisation and data-driven decision-making. Marketing Automation Technical Architect has deep platform knowledge, strong technical acumen and a strategic mindset to deliver scalable, secure and high-performing solutions that align marketing initiatives with business outcomes. Key Responsibilities:Architect & Design: Build scalable, omnichannel marketing automation and personalisation solutions.SFMC Expert: Lead Salesforce Marketing Cloud (Email, Journey, Mobile, Automation Studio) implementations.Data Integration: Unify customer data with Salesforce Data Cloud for segmentation and predictive insights.Platform Owner: Manage governance, performance, upgrades, and licensing across martech platforms.Systems Integration: Connect CRMs, CDPs, analytics tools, and databases via REST/SOAP APIs.Data Compliance: Ensure GDPR, CCPA, CAN-SPAM compliance with robust data models and consent handling.Campaign Execution: Create advanced customer journeys with real-time triggers and behaviour-based targeting.Optimisation & Reporting: Use BI tools, A/B testing, and analytics for continuous performance improvement.Leadership & Collaboration: Mentor teams, partner cross-functionally, and lead vendor/platform evaluations. About You – Essential Skills and ExperienceOur ideal candidate will possess the following experience and attributes:5–8 years of hands-on experience in marketing automation, martech integration and platform architecture.Proven expertise in:One or more marketing automation platforms (SFMC, Adobe Campaign, Acoustic, Marketo, Braze)AMPscript, SSJS, JavaScript, Node.jsSQL for advanced data queries and automation logicWeb development languages (HTML, CSS, JSON)REST/SOAP API design and integrationProgrammatic ArchitectureIntegration ArchitectureDevelopment Lifecycle and DeploymentData Architecture and ManagementIdentity and Access ManagementArchitect JourneyExperience in building enterprise-grade MarTech architecture that handles large-scale, real-time data and global audience segmentation.
