We would love the opportunity to work with YOU Minutes to Seconds is looking for a Retail Solution Architect in a Contract role in Melbourne. Requirements Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Retail Solution Architect to design, develop, and oversee end-to-end retail technology solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in retail business processes, enterprise architecture, and modern retail platforms, ensuring seamless integration across POS, eCommerce, ERP, WMS, CRM, and other retail systems. Key Responsibilities Lead solution architecture design for retail technology initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals and IT strategy. Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams to translate requirements into scalable, high-performing solutions. Define architectural standards, integration patterns, and best practices for retail systems. Evaluate, recommend, and integrate retail technologies including POS, OMS, ERP, CRM, and WMS solutions. Ensure solutions are secure, compliant, and aligned with enterprise data governance policies. Oversee system integrations, data flows, and API strategies between retail applications and enterprise platforms. Provide technical leadership during project delivery, including proof-of-concepts, solution validation, and troubleshooting. Stay current with emerging retail technologies, market trends, and industry standards. Required Skills & Experience 10 years in IT with at least 5 years as a Solution Architect in the retail industry. Proven experience with retail systems. Strong understanding of retail operations including merchandising, supply chain, store operations, and omni channel commerce. Experience with integration platforms. Knowledge of cloud platforms and microservices-based architecture. Strong knowledge of enterprise data models, APIs, and security protocols. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience in ERP and WMS implementation within retail. Familiarity with loyalty programs, customer analytics, and personalization engines. Enterprise architecture certification. Previous experience in global retail roll outs and multi-country implementations. Education Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
