We are seeking a Rental Controller to support our operations and keep things running smoothly behind the scenes. Location: Thomastown, VIC About Us We are a proud, family-owned plant and equipment hire business based in Thomastown, Victoria. For over 10 years, we’ve built our reputation on reliable equipment, exceptional customer service, and a down-to-earth, friendly approach. We supply a wide range of plant machinery to the construction, landscaping, and civil industries – and we’re looking for the right person to help keep our hire operations running smoothly. About the Role As our Rental Controller, you will be the key point of contact for customers hiring equipment, ensuring the right gear is booked, ready, and returned in top condition. You’ll work closely with our workshop and delivery teams, keeping schedules tight, stock moving, and customers happy. Key Responsibilities Coordinate equipment hire bookings, returns, and extensions Liaise with customers to provide hire advice and quotes Schedule deliveries and collections with our drivers Maintain hire records and rental agreements Track and update equipment availability Work closely with the workshop team to prioritise servicing and repairs Handle invoicing and hire documentation Provide customer service – both over the phone and in person Liaise closely with managers to coordinate daily operations Process customer payments and maintain accurate records Organise transport and logistics for equipment deliveries and pickups Communicate with the workshop team regarding equipment servicing and repairs What we are looking for Previous experience in a hire, logistics, or scheduling role (preferred) Knowledge of plant & equipment or machinery (desirable but not essential – training provided) Strong organisational skills with attention to detail Confident communicator with a friendly, professional manner Able to handle a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple priorities Basic computer skills (hire software experience an advantage) What We Offer Supportive, family-oriented work environment On-the-job training with opportunities to grow Supportive team culture and hands-on training Opportunity to work in a vital role within a growing industry Monday to Friday hours How to Apply Apply through seek, email your CV and cover letter to klmmini.com.au or call 0451007
