Role Description/Criteria St George Preca Catholic Primary School is seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic Religious Education Leader to join our school community. Staff at St George Preca passionately care about children and our wider community. This is an important leadership role within the school with a Position of Leadership allowance at POL3 and a full time allocation for planning, supporting and leading Religious Education throughout the school. The contract is an ongoing teaching contract with a three year POL as Religious Education Leader. Experienced Religious Education Leaders and those with additional qualifications in Religious Education or Theology are encouraged to apply. This position will commence at the beginning of the 2026 School Year. The successful candidate will be required to: be accredited to Teach Religious Education or Lead in a Catholic School lead staff faith formation lead the school’s Religious Education program, supportive of the values of the contemporary Church with a focus on recontextualisation provide expert leadership in learning to support the faith journey of all children support the development of staff to create learning programs in Religious Education that are engaging, cumulative and continuous attend Religious Education Network meetings at the Western Region, MACS liaise closely with the Parish Priest to support the sacramental and liturgical needs of our school attend and participate in network meetings with the St Catherine of Siena RELs from our parish organise and attend faith development nights for the Sacraments organise and support student lead Social Justice initiatives prepare the Sacrament masses drive the Catholic ethos of the school build and maintain positive respectful relationships with students, colleagues and families work collaboratively with school staff, parents, clergy, and community members work flexibly and collaboratively within staff teams have highly effective organisational and communication skills be committed to professional learning and ongoing improvement have a passion for fostering the spiritual growth and development of the school community St George Preca Catholic Primary School is committed to the safety, well being and protection of all children in our care.
