Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role based in Gold Coast, QLD, for a Registered Structural Engineer. The Structural Engineer will be responsible for providing engineering design, analysis, and certification for residential and community-based projects, ensuring compliance with Australian Standards, QBCC requirements, and local council regulations. Daily tasks include preparing structural documentation, coordinating with architects, builders, and consultants, inspecting construction works, and ensuring that structural integrity and safety standards are consistently achieved. The Structural Engineer will also support risk management processes and maintain project documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
Role Responsibilities:

Lead the structural design and engineering process from concept through to completion, ensuring compliance with all relevant codes and QBCC regulations

Prepare and certify structural documentation, drawings, and specifications for residential and community projects

Conduct site inspections and provide engineering oversight to ensure construction quality, safety, and design compliance

Collaborate with architects, project managers, subcontractors, and other consultants to deliver efficient and cost-effective solutions

Drive project planning, risk management, and technical quality control processes

Represent the business with professionalism, integrity, and technical expertise
Role Requirements:
-
5–7+ years’ experience as a Structural Engineer with proven delivery in residential and/or community development projects

Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) accreditation (essential)

Strong technical knowledge of structural design software and relevant Australian Standards

Experience preparing and certifying structural documentation for building projects

Excellent communication, problem-solving, and client-facing skills

Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver within tight deadlines

Organised, motivated, and commercially astute with strong attention to detail
