About the Role The Registered Nurse works as part of the clinical team, under the guidance of the Nurse Unit Manager or delegate and at times may be required to be the Nurse in Charge of the shift. The Registered Nurse works with the Endorsed Enrolled Nurses and Health Care Workers to ensure person-centred care and evidence-based practice is provided to the residents and patients in the facility. Penshurst Campus comprises of 4 acute beds, 19 nursing home beds and 10 hostel aged care beds. Penshurst is located 30 kilometres from Hamilton and where the main campus of Western District Health Service is located. This position will work across all areas of the facility. The successful applicant will be involved in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of allocated and delegated nursing care activities to assist the patient/resident to meet care needs and health outcomes and have an understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards and the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards. You will bring: AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse Experience and knowledge in Aged Care Ideally, an understanding of the AN-ACC classification model An understanding of the Montessori principles in aged care to promote independence and individualised care What we can offer Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team Enterprise Bargaining Agreement based remuneration.
