About the Role We are seeking a highly experienced Python Developer to join a dynamic team working on a high-impact project within the financial services sector. This role is ideal for a seasoned software engineer with a strong foundation in Python and a passion for building scalable, metadata-driven data pipeline frameworks. Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain complex Python applications using modern software design patterns. Contribute to the design and implementation of data engineering solutions, including real-time and batch data pipelines. Leverage big data technologies such as Spark, Hive, HDFS, and NiFi. Integrate with cloud platforms, particularly Azure services like ADLSgen2, Event Hubs, and Synapse. Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines and deployment best practices. The Successful Candidate You will bring: 10–20 years of hands-on software development experience, with a strong emphasis on Python. Proven ability to write clean, efficient, and scalable Pythonic code from scratch. Experience in data engineering, including pipeline creation and orchestration. Familiarity with big data ecosystems (Hortonworks, Spark, Hive, etc.). Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure preferred) and real-time data streaming tools (Kafka, Spark Streaming). Strong understanding of DevOps/DevSecOps practices and tools (Jenkins, Bitbucket, Azure DevOps). Excellent communication skills, a proactive mindset, and a collaborative approach to problem-solving. Desirable attributes include experience in leading engineering chapters, knowledge of modern data architecture, and familiarity with orchestration tools like Airflow or Control-M.
