We have an incredible and unique new opportunity for a Project Manager to join our Enterprise Delivery Team. They will drive multiple projects and initiatives concurrently, successfully delivering to strict deadlines and within tight budgets including tangible outcomes and return on investment in line with the company strategy. The Project Manager must be technically adept - able to challenge assumptions, validate estimates, and contribute meaningfully to solutioning discussions with developers, architects, and other stakeholders including Project Sponsor. A key aspect of the role is driving people, teams, and third-party consultants to deliver outcomes according to plan, ensuring effective collaboration and communication throughout the project lifecycle. The Project Manager will also oversee quality control and keep the Sponsor informed with timely updates and clear reporting. What Does An Average Day Look Like? No day is average at humm but here’s an idea of what you can expect to do in this role: Define multiple, concurrent project scope, goals and deliverables that support business strategic goals and return on investment. Work in a collaborative fashion with project business owner, sponsor, and stakeholders by creating project plans, and procuring and allocating resources to ensure successful project delivery. Establish and drive project timelines, milestones, and deliverables, and report progress throughout the project lifecycle. Effectively communicate project expectations across cross-functional team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion to ensure they drive to these outcomes. Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project life cycle and ensure influence of them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work. Conduct regular project team meetings/standups to review progress and address any concerns. Work with the Vendor Manager for 3rd party vendors to ensure that these are meeting delivery SLAs against project scope expectations. Identify potential risks and proactively monitor and manage risks by developing mitigation strategies to minimize their impact on project delivery. Ensure that project(s) meet the required quality standards by implementing quality assurance processes and conducting regular reviews. Responsible for managing project budgets and resources effectively by tracking project expenses, monitor resource utilization including 3rd party SLAs, and make necessary adjustments to ensure that projects are delivered within scope, budget, and resource constraints. Provide updates on project progress, track project milestones and deliverables. Ensure mandatory events occur within the project including stage gate checkpoints, processes, deliverables, and documentation. Who will thrive in this role? We are looking for someone who brings: Direct work experience in a project management/delivery management capacity, including delivering digital first capabilities across multiple organisations, transformation initiatives and major programs and technologies. Demonstrated ability to engage with technical teams and understand solution architecture, system design, and development workflows including the ability to challenge technical assumptions, validate estimates, and contribute to solutioning discussions with developers and architects. Experience managing complex projects, preferably within the Financial Services industry and across cloud architecture, API gateways and micro services. Excellence in Project Management planning including stakeholder management, resource procurement, business risk and issue identification to resolution, and benefit realisation to execute projects on-time. Experience working in multiple business areas within a company to understand overlapping functions and interdepartmental dependencies and resolve conflict situations. Ability to manage several projects, conflicting resources, and tasks at the same time. Outstanding communication skills with the ability to communicate information, concepts, and arguments effectively at all levels and in the appropriate style including C-suite. Loves dealing with ambiguity and thrives to resolve the complex challenges that arise from constant changes while managing the scope/budget and delivery timelines. Proven experience with mentoring peer project team members. Demonstrated different project methodology knowledge.
