The Iceberg Foundation
10 Aug 2025Melbourne, Victoria, 3004Part TimeCharity / Voluntary
Job description Are you a systems-savvy leader with a heart for justice, a knack for making things run well, and a soft spot for people doing their best work together? Join The Iceberg Foundation, a proudly neuroqueer-led mental health charity that centres LGBTIQAPSB and neurodivergent communities. We live inclusion every day. We are a community that knows affirming admin, solid governance, and sustainable systems are just as important as the therapy itself. Your leadership will help us create spaces where people can reconnect, heal and thrive, while making sure the behind-the-scenes work stays smooth (and the tea cupboard stays stocked). Position Overview: The Practice Manager at The Iceberg Foundation (TIF) plays a vital leadership role in holding together the operational heart of our service. You will oversee the clinic’s daily operations, manage finances and budgets, support governance, and drive long-term sustainability so our community can access high-quality mental health care now and into the future. This role is responsible for ensuring smooth workflows, compliance with relevant standards, and the creation and management of systems for recruitment. You’ll lead on payroll, and day-to-day financial processes, and it’s a bonus if you already know your way around Xero. You will foster an identity-affirming, anti-oppressive, and anti-racist organisational culture, supporting staff to do their best work in a welcoming and supportive environment. Building and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders, funding bodies, and community partners is also an important part of the role, as is working with others to seek out new funding opportunities and partnerships that help TIF grow. You’ll work closely with the Board and Chairperson to ensure good governance, sound planning, and practical strategies that keep our services sustainable, accessible, and aligned with our community’s needs. What we’re looking for: At least two years of experience in a management or supervisory role, with a focus on sustainability and growth Strong leadership, organisational and problem-solving skills A commitment to putting our values of anti-oppression, identity affirmation and community joy into real practice Excellent communication skills and the ability to connect with people across different communities and identities Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities Confidence using Google Suite and everyday office systems An understanding of intersectional, anti-colonial and trauma-informed practice and how this shows up in leadership A collaborative spirit with a proactive and solutions-focused approach A full, current Victorian driver’s licence is essential Why The Iceberg Foundation? Identity affirming, supportive and engaging multidisciplinary team environment Training and professional development opportunities Comfy and cosy spaces The chance to make a tangible difference in how people experience mental health support If you have any requests or questions, or would like to do a video cover letter, please email mishma@theicebergfoundation.org using the subject line: Practice Manager enquiry via EthicalJobs or call 03 8374 7777 to discuss these.
