PERSONAL CARE ASSISTANT - Residential Aged Care Part-Time / Full time Positions available AM shifts with occasional need to step into PM / Night shifts Mont Albert North Vic - Located close to Public transport Not-for-Profit Salary Packaging Options – increase your take home pay! mecwacare is looking for experienced and dedicated Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) to join the friendly team at mecwacare’s new Simon Price Centre, with a focus on AM shifts. In this rewarding role, you’ll provide high-quality, compassionate care that supports the dignity, comfort, and wellbeing of our client's in a modern, state-of-the-art aged care home. Our stunning new 100-bed facility features spacious private rooms and suites—many with balconies and beautiful views across Melbourne—along with inviting communal lounges, a cinema, cafe, library, wellbeing salon, and landscaped outdoor areas. What you bring: A minimum Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support, or a relevant Certificate III/IV qualification. At least 4–5 years of relevant experience in an aged care home, ideally with proven skills in mentoring and supporting other carers. Availability to work AM and PM shifts, including weekdays and weekends. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with older people and their families. The ability to understand and follow individual client care plans. Sound problem-solving skills and the judgement to know when to escalate issues to a supervisor. Proven time management and multi-tasking abilities. A proactive, dedicated approach to delivering best-practice care. A strong commitment to maintaining confidentiality at all times. Flexibility to adapt to workplace demands and a collaborative team spirit.
