We’re looking for a talented and experienced Payroll Officer to join our expanding Finance team. You will be responsible for accurately and efficiently managing the payroll process for approximately 180 employees, ensuring they receive the correct wages and deductions on time and in accordance with strong governance practices. The role also requires compliance with all relevant legal requirements, company policies, and state-based regulations. You will work closely with the rest of the AU Finance team and the People and Culture team. Duties and Responsibilities: Prepare monthly and adhoc end to end pay runs as required, with a strong emphasis on governance. Calculate and prepare new starters and termination pays in accordance with policy Ensure leave requests are appropriately submitted and approved. Provide information to employees/managers about payroll matters. Manage the reconciliation of payroll, superannuation payments, bonuses and authorised payroll deductions. Prepare and manage the year end ATO and state revenue requirements. Process payroll tax, reporting and payment for all Australian states. Manage and ensure compliance with all workers compensation insurance requirements in all states. Ensure employee expense claims (including mileage) are recorded accurately and in line with internal policies. Prepare end of month reporting and post payroll related accounting entries into Netsuite. Provide monthly analysis of variances between actuals and budgets/forecasts. Assist with year-end reporting and administration and work with external auditors. Perform any other adhoc duties as required. What are we looking for?
