You will be invited into the sacred space of people’s lives, offering presence, empathy and support during times of vulnerability and transition. You will join a remarkable team of Pastoral Care Practitioners who work as part of multidisciplinary teams providing holistic care to our patients. Our Pastoral Care department is recognised for its high-functioning, dedicated team and positive culture. You will have access to regular professional development, as well as individual and group clinical supervision. This is a casual position. While efforts will be made to provide some regular weekly hours, there is no guarantee of consistent shifts. You will be called upon to cover holiday leave, sick leave and meet hospital needs during peak periods. Some weeks may have no shifts, while others may require work every other day. This role is therefore not suitable for those requiring a stable income or with significant inflexible commitments. What you bring Qualifications in a humanities discipline such as counselling, psychology, education, social work, clinical pastoral education or pastoral ministry Relevant experience providing high-level emotional and spiritual care A robust and mature spiritual expression and formation Demonstrated ability to work independently and exercise professional judgement Proven interpersonal and communication skills Professional level computer skills Availability and suitability to work irregular and varied weekday shifts as required by the Pastoral Care department Ability to work across both Calvary Lenah Valley and Calvary St John’s campuses Benefits This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a leading values-based health care organisation.
