We are seeking to employ a dynamic, passionate and relational Student Wellbeing Leader with strong pedagogical knowledge to support all students and staff in the Cana Catholic School Community to grow in understanding about how student wellbeing actively drives student learning outcomes in alignment with the MACS Vision for Instruction and Vision for Engagement. The role of the Student Wellbeing Leader (including Child Safety Leader) will be to lead the school community to grow in understanding about how student wellbeing actively drives student learning outcomes. The Student Wellbeing Leader role at Cana Catholic School is integral to the effectiveness of the MACS Vision for Instruction and Vision for Engagement and the successful applicant will work in collaboration with the School Leadership Team to demonstrate a high level of understanding of appropriate content knowledge and pedagogy in this area. The Wellbeing Leader will demonstrate compliance in relation to Cana Catholic School’s Child Safety Standards in accordance with the Victorian Government’s Ministerial Order No 870. Please see the attached role description for further specific details about the position. Post graduate study in this area will be advantageous. Cana Catholic Primary School is located in the suburb of Hillside. Cana opened in 2004 and is the third Catholic primary school in the Parish of Sacred Heart / Emmaus where a strong link between the Parish and school is valued and nurtured.
