Essendon Private Clinic is a leading private mental health facility committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based care to adults in a supportive and therapeutic environment. We are seeking an experienced and empathetic Mental Health Counsellor to join our multidisciplinary team. About the Role: In this role, you will provide individual counselling and facilitate therapeutic group programs for patients with a range of mental health conditions. You will work collaboratively with psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, and allied health professionals to deliver high-quality, recovery-oriented care. Key Responsibilities: · Provide counselling sessions tailored to individual patient needs. · Co-facilitate evidence-based therapy groups (e.g., CBT, DBT, mindfulness). · Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with organisational policies. · Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and review treatment plans. · Contribute to a safe and supportive therapeutic environment. Essential Criteria: · Relevant tertiary qualifications in counselling, psychology, social work, or a related field. · Current professional registration or membership (e.g., PACFA, ACA, AHPRA). · Experience in mental health counselling, preferably in an inpatient or group therapy setting. · Strong interpersonal and communication skills. · Commitment to recovery-oriented and person-centred care. Desirable: · Experience in private mental health facilities. · Group facilitation experience.
