Job Summary: The Mechanical Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient disassembly of a Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM). This role involves supervising mechanical crews, coordinating equipment and logistics, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and technical specifications, and liaising with engineering and project management teams to meet project milestones. Key Responsibilities: Supervise and coordinate mechanical teams involved in TBM disassembly activities. Plan and execute disassembly operations in line with engineering drawings and project schedules. Ensure all work is carried out safely, complying with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Inspect disassembled components for damage, wear, or required refurbishment. Coordinate lifting operations and the use of cranes or heavy equipment as required. Communicate effectively with other supervisors, engineers, and logistics teams to manage workflow. Maintain accurate records of disassembly progress, manpower, and equipment usage. Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical or technical issues on-site. Conduct toolbox talks and ensure safety documentation is up to date. Support packing, labeling, and shipment of TBM components for relocation or storage. Qualifications & Skills: Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant trade certification. 5 years of experience in mechanical supervision, preferably in tunneling or heavy equipment. Strong knowledge of TBMs and mechanical systems. Proven experience in heavy equipment disassembly and lifting operations. Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
