Marketing & Communications Project Assistant Are you an enthusiastic early-career Marketing and Communications professional passionate about making a positive impact in Melbourne’s west? Join the Communications and Marketing team at IPC Health and help us build healthier, stronger communities with equitable access to holistic, integrated health and wellbeing services Working across six campuses in Melbourne’s western suburbs flexibility to work from home Support IPC Health to enable our clients, communities and staff to be ‘Well for Life The Opportunity Join IPC Health as a Marketing and Communications Project Assistant (Grade 3, Full Time) and play a vital role in execute day-to-day marketing tasks that amplify our mission. This is a full-time ongoing role based across our six campuses (Sunshine, Deer Park, St Albans, Wyndham Vale, Hoppers Crossing, and Altona Meadows), with flexibility to work from home. You will work closely with the Communications and Marketing Coordinator team and internal clients. Salary: $84,635 p.a. super salary packaging Classification: Health & Allied Services, Managers & Administrative Workers (Victorian Stand-Alone Community Health Services MEA 2022–2026), Level 3 (HS3) Start: As soon as you’re available. The types of projects you’ll work on might include: Create content for posts and reels on social media and news posts on our intranet using Canva and AI to draft copy and images Schedule and publish social media posts (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X/Twitter) using Canva and Hootsuite; Schedule and publish news posts on our intranet; track engagement metrics and summarise insights. Update website copy and images in CraftCMS upload news posts, proofread for accuracy and consistency, and ensure brand alignment. Create basic marketing collateral (flyers, posters, one-page fact sheets) by gather text/images from program leads, or generate using AI, lay out in Canva, and proofread before distribution. Assist with monthly e-newsletter format and distribute via MailChimp, maintain subscriber lists, and monitor open rates and click-throughs. Provide logistical support for community events and webinars—draft invitations, coordinate with venues or virtual-platform hosts, pack up brochures and merchandise for internal stakeholders, assist on the day, and curate event photos and feedback. Compile simple performance reports: summarise social media growth, website analytics (page-views, new users), and campaign milestones in Excel. Support stakeholder meetings with agendas, notes, and follow-up actions. Manage the Communications and Branded Merchandise inboxes: route incoming requests via email and the Communications Request Form; coordinate scheduling (book Teams meetings), create and update MS Planner cards; triage workflow. To excel in this role, you’ll tackle a diverse set of tasks under guidance, demonstrate a can-do attitude, and view every challenge as an opportunity to learn and contribute. To be successful in this role: Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, Advertising or a related discipline. 2–3 years’ practical experience (entry-level role or internships) in communications, marketing or digital media—preferably in a not-for-profit environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clear, on-brand content for social media, website pages and basic collateral (flyers, newsletters). Working knowledge of social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, TikTok) and content-scheduling tools (Hootsuite or similar). Hands-on experience (or familiarity) with website CMS (CraftCMS or Wordpress) for content updates and basic page layouts. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Basic graphic-design skills in Canva or Adobe. An eye for detail, the ability to juggle multiple tasks, and a proactive approach to meeting deadlines. A collaborative mindset and eagerness to learn from senior team members. Desirable: Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), MailChimp or similar email-marketing platforms, basic video-editing tools (iMovie, Adobe Premiere Rush).
