The Manager, Business Planning and Performance will be responsible for managing the Strategic Investment Allocation process, reporting North’s quarterly performance and proposing a pivot in focus where appropriate and managing North’s strategic governance of annual and quarterly planning cycles. Lead the development and presentation of compelling business cases to the Trustee for the quarterly and annual release of funding to support North’s transformation portfolio Design and deliver materials for the half yearly Trustee Strategy Day to shape the future strategic direction of the Wealth Fund. Develop the Trustee’s Business Plan for the Wealth Fund including defining the strategic initiatives and developing key performance metrics to ensure the delivery of strong member outcomes, regulatory compliance, and sustainable fund operations. Develop the Trustee’s Member and Beneficiary Strategy to assess and prioritise strategic investments, including Statements of Work (SOWs) and platform enhancements Develop the annual business plan to align the priorities of NM Super and AMP Group. Oversee and prepare quarterly executive business reports and compliance reports for Board, Trustee and Executive Committee audiences, which assess the strategic and operational performance of North against its scorecard and KPI’s. Propose potential responses to market, competitor and internal performance Manage the end-to-end business planning and performance reporting process, timeline and stakeholder inputs, and version control. Collaborate with teams across Strategy, Product, Finance, Marketing, Investments, Operations, Super Trustee Office, Company Secretary and Risk to gather, validate and prepare reporting content. Manage the logistics / operations of key leadership committees including agendas, collate materials, resolve actions, minutes and Terms of Reference which enable governance for Group Executives Identify solutions that deliver significant improvements to existing processes and/or ways of working to streamline reporting What you will bring to the team Ideally, you will bring the following experiences to this role: Previous 8 years’ experience in a relevant professional role in Wealth Management ideally in Superannuation and/or Platforms environment driving a collaborative, high performance culture Competent understanding of the regulatory and compliance regime for financial services Ability to lead the development of business plans, papers and reports for the Board, Trustee and Executive level audiences and present in senior leadership environments Competent understanding and experience of wealth management and end to end business operations Understanding of competitors propositions and Superannuation/Investment industry trends, as they relate to the wealth management, in particular platforms environment. Appropriate tertiary qualifications or preparedness to undergo studies in business or finance desirable Ability to influence and engage both peers and senior leaders including at the Executive level, to support execution of business outcomes and lead the development of multi-year strategies and business plans Ability to prepare compelling business cases for funding approval and demonstrate how the investment has translated into measurable improvements in member outcomes. Ability to analyse business performance, identify and track key performance measures, and identify key strategy and operational risks. Excellent relationship development and stakeholder management skills applied within a matrix business Excellent communication skills in written, verbal, virtual and face to face Strong interpersonal skills and able to work well with senior team members to solve problems Meticulous attention to detail and high accuracy in data collation and reporting Strong customer / member focus (internal and external). Ability to set targets & goals and drive delivery of results through others via effective leadership and coaching Strong ability to analyse difficult problems and issues and identify solutions that improves or modifies existing processes or ways of working Ability to work in an agile, dynamic environment. Flexibility to work outside of immediate role remit if needed. Demonstrated ability to manage confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
