The key duties of the position include The Role Fleet Logistics Division (FLD) is looking for a Compliance Officer to work closely with an integrated team of logistics specialists and become the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for logistics policy, supporting the units attached to HMAS Waterhen. Some key duties of this role include, but not limited to: Continual review and development of unit processes to ensure compliance. Manage audits on processes to ensure compliance with technical regulation. Analyse compliance and assurance outputs and prepare detailed reports with recommendations on audit results. Support unit remediation and reporting with identified process non-compliance. Assist with all C&A progressive stocktaking activities and reporting to support of Defence-wide stocktaking programs. Provide compliance and assurance, analysis, performance measurement, reporting and improvement of Navy's Supply Chain & Logistics processes and systems to ensure the effective and efficient use of Navy's logistics resources. Provide advice to stakeholders on logistics compliance policies and regulations. About our Team Fleet Logistics Division (FLD) is a team of Maritime Logistics (ML) Officers and Subject Matter Expert providing guidance and direction for all areas of ML across Fleet Command. This includes governance oversight and logistics assurance. The team is extremely supportive and experienced in compliance and assurance guidance, working collaboratively with each other across all the Forces to achieve results. Our Ideal Candidate Our Ideal Candidate will have the following skills and attributes: Previous Logistics experience. Previous compliance and audit experience. Good written and verbal communication skills. Experience in understanding and implementing government policy. Demonstrated analytical skills, including sound judgement and the ability to interpret legislation, policy, procedures and data to form evidence-based recommendations. The ability to interpret legislation and complex matters then communicate in a simple, clear easy to understand manner. Demonstrated ability to use data and other supporting evidence when making decisions relating to investigations and to provide this in a written format to both internal and external stakeholders. The ability to build positive, collaborative working relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
