The Role We’re currently looking for a switched-on and enthusiastic Legal Assistant to join our Melbourne CBD office on a casual basis. Providing support equivalent to approx. 15 hours a week (flexible hours and days within standard business times), the role offers flexibility and can accommodate exam periods for university students. Candidates that can attend the office Tuesdays will benefit from working in person with the team. You will provide general secretarial support for the firm’s Pro Bono & Responsible Business Team (also known as our Impact Project team) and the duties will include but are not limited to: Creating or amending documents and internal communications about events and initiatives as guided by the team Electronic file management, data entry, filing Arranging events, including speakers, gifts and prizes Arranging payment of invoices and donations and tracking expenses Booking travel, training, conferences and providing general office support Updating intranet including preparing news updates and external website Assistance with pro bono, volunteering, reconciliation, and environmental initiatives About You You bring: High level skills in organisation, attention to detail and the ability to multi-task, prioritise competing demands and deliver outcomes on time. A track record for taking initiative, problem solving and being a self-starter. Strong interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to build relationships and communicate with a range of internal and external stakeholders in a professional and responsive manner.
