About Us Southern Star Windows & Doors is an Australian business specialising in the manufacture of quality timber and aluminium windows and doors. This excellent opportunity will be offered on a Permanent Full-Time basis at 38 hours a week. About You To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate: Strong understanding of scheduling functions Strong understanding of purchasing functions Forecasting experience to ensure adequate stock levels are held & purchased Ability to develop, streamline and improve scheduling and admin process throughout the business An understanding of the principles of Continuous Improvement Ability to train staff Ability to problem solve Your Skills and Experiences: A Degree in Industrial Engineering Qualifications in Project Management Excellent knowledge of ERP Cantor & Microsoft Office Suite Experience in purchasing & administration role/s Relevant experience in a position in the manufacturing industry Responsibilities include: Analysing and managing production line workflows by determining optimum line allocation and product capacity utilisation to maximise worker and equipment efficiency. Establishing and monitoring inventory control systems to ensure materials availability for production, including purchasing, stock receipting, forecasting, and trend analysis to minimise shortages and overstock. Planning and optimising distribution routes for finished goods to customer sites and branch transfers, applying operational data to improve delivery efficiency and reduce costs. Investigating and addressing production quality concerns by initiating and coordinating rework processes, ensuring corrective measures are implemented effectively. Developing and maintaining standard operating procedures (SOPs) for administrative, scheduling, and planning processes to ensure consistent operational practices. Maintaining and updating factory layout drawings to reflect optimal facility layouts that support efficient workflow and material handling. Recording, monitoring, and reporting production metrics to support data-driven decision-making and identify performance trends. Conducting analysis of production data and operational trends to recommend process improvements and enhance productivity. Delegating and coordinating tasks within scheduling and administrative teams to ensure alignment with production and delivery requirements.
