Description Role - Head of Optimization: Drive Strategic Value & Scalable Growth in Superannuation Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for unlocking operational efficiency and driving commercial outcomes? We're looking for a Head of Optimization to lead high-impact initiatives that deliver value for our superannuation clients, improve member experiences, and fuel sustainable business growth. About the Role Reporting to the Client Delivery Executive, the Head of Optimization will sit at the intersection of client engagement, commercial strategy, and service delivery. You’ll lead the design and execution of innovative pricing models, strategic joint ventures, and operational enhancements that streamline fund operations, reduce cost-to-serve, and support digital transformation across the superannuation landscape. This role is pivotal to shaping how we deliver value—both to our clients and the broader retirement ecosystem. Melbourne based | Full time Permanent Role | Financial Services & Superannuation Responsible for driving strategic value, this role plays a critical role in being accountable to: Design and implement Volume Transaction Pricing models that reward scale and drive profitable growth. Partner with superannuation funds to map transactional workflows and co-create efficiency uplift plans. Lead the identification and delivery of joint initiatives—spanning automation, digital servicing, data transparency, and ESG reporting. Oversee internal reviews and transformation initiatives to improve turnaround times and reduce manual interventions. Build governance frameworks for Joint Investment Initiatives and measure outcomes for long-term client partnerships. Mentor cross-functional teams and foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and accountability. What You Bring: 10 years of experience in superannuation, financial services, or member-based organizations. Expertise in pricing, operations, or strategic transformation, with a proven ability to lead initiatives from strategy through execution. Strong commercial acumen and financial modelling skills, with experience designing sustainable pricing strategies. Experience working with institutional clients and engaging with C-suite executives. A deep understanding of superannuation fund operations, regulatory requirements (e.g. APRA, ASIC), and key industry trends. Preferred Qualifications & Tools Tertiary qualifications in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field; MBA or postgraduate qualifications are highly regarded. Proficiency in tools and platforms such as Acurity, Rubik, and Salesforce. Familiarity with regulatory and strategic shifts including fund mergers, performance benchmarking, and member engagement.
