About the Role As Head of Networks, you will play a critical role in procuring, developing, maintaining, and operationalising SUBCO’s subsea and terrestrial network assets. You will oversee Network Engineering & Design, Network Operations, and GIS, ensuring the network is efficient, resilient, scalable, and aligned with business needs. Role Responsibilities Oversee the engineering and design of terrestrial and subsea network infrastructure to ensure performance, scalability, and operational efficiency. Oversee the service delivery function for SUBCO’s customers and translate business/customer requirements into buildable network solutions. Oversee technical strategy and governance, including supplier selection, procurement, and integration of network hardware and software. Ensure GIS and spatial systems and data are integrated to support network planning and asset management. Oversee the development of innovative solutions to improve reliability, performance, and longevity of subsea assets. Provide technical input on supply agreements and commercial negotiations as required. Oversee the NetOps function to ensure high availability, resilience, and performance. Ensure network security, compliance, and regulatory requirements are met and maintained. Provide oversight on fault management, troubleshooting, and proactive maintenance of network infrastructure. Establish a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring network processes are efficient, scalable, and cost-effective. Identify inefficiencies and risks in current network operations and implement corrective actions. Leverage automation, analytics and data to enhance decision-making and operational workflows. Anticipate and mitigate network risks that could impact key projects, SLAs, or customer commitments. Foster collaboration across teams to drive innovation in network design and service delivery. Anticipate and embrace emerging technologies to evolve internal capability, spark innovation, and shape the future of the industry. Build, lead and inspire a cohesive, high-performing team. Provide guidance and mentorship to the team, with a focus on developing future leaders and maintaining a high standard of excellence. Work collaboratively to support workforce planning and capability development.
