We are seeking a Head of Cyber Operations to join their team. Head of Cyber Operations Location WFH Flexibility: Sydney | Hybrid model (4 days in the office) Salary: Up to $230K inclusive of super 20% bonus Interview Process: 2-3 stages Role Details Lead the advancement of the organisation’s cyber defence capabilities through strategic oversight, operational excellence, and a focus on continuous improvement Develop and implement the Cyber Resilience Operations Strategy, ensuring it meets business goals, regulatory requirements, and adapts to the evolving threat landscape Maintain and enhance the incident response framework, ensuring plans and processes remain effective and compliant Oversee day-to-day operations of the Security Operations Centre (SOC), ensuring incident response targets and service levels are achieved Direct and guide investigations of security alerts across a variety of platforms, including antivirus, IPS, firewall logs, DLP incidents, proxy data, and threat intelligence feeds Drive ongoing improvement of SOC tooling and automation, including SIEM, EDR, and related technologies Provide strong leadership, coaching and mentoring to a diverse team, supporting both professional growth and capability uplift Required Skills And Experience Demonstrated strength in preparing reports and executive-level presentations Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Proven ability to establish and maintain trusted relationships with business and technology stakeholders Experience in developing and delivering training and communication initiatives Strong background in process documentation and governance Leadership and motivational ability in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Business, or related industry certifications Additional Details & Benefits Senior leadership role reporting directly to the CISO Licensed role across both NSW and QLD High-impact opportunity to shape cyber defence strategy in a highly regulated organisation Free daily meals with a fresh buffet menu Employee discounts across award-winning hotels and restaurants To Apply If this sounds like your next opportunity or you would like to hear more, please ‘apply now’ and submit your resume.
