Our client is currently seeking a skilled and motivated a Head Chef to lead kitchen operations at their facility located in beautiful Tenterfield, NSW . This is a casual contract position with possibility to go permanent offering the chance to combine your culinary expertise with leadership responsibilities in a supportive environment. About the Role: As a Head Chef you will be responsible for the overall management of kitchen services, ensuring high-quality, nutritious meals are delivered daily while maintaining compliance with food safety standards. This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who is both a strong leader and passionate about food service excellence. Key Responsibilities: Oversee all aspects of kitchen and meal service operations Prepare and present fresh, well-balanced meals tailored to client needs Manage kitchen staff, rosters, ordering, and inventory control Develop and maintain menus in line with dietary guidelines and preferences Ensure compliance with HACCP, food safety, and hygiene regulations Collaborate with management and other departments to maintain a high standard of service About You: Proven experience in a similar role, ideally in a healthcare, aged care, or clinical setting Relevant qualifications in Commercial Cookery (Cert III or above) Demonstrated leadership and team management skills Strong understanding of dietary needs, allergies, and food safety protocols Excellent time management, communication, and problem-solving abilities Location: Tenterfield, NSW offers a unique blend of natural beauty, history, and rural charm.
