The Group Financial Controller is a senior leadership role within the Finance division, responsible for overseeing the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of financial accounting and reporting functions across the Group. The role provides commercial insight and leadership in ensuring accounting systems and controls support the business goals of the Linfox Group, including Linfox Logistics, BevChain, Armaguard, Airports, Property, and Private Group entities. The successful candidate will support key accountabilities including but not limited to: Functional: Lead the Group Accounting function to deliver accurate, timely and compliant financial reports and insights. Manage the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all reporting deadlines are met. Oversee compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, including liaising with auditors and managing the external audit process. Own the general ledger and ensure integrity across all balance sheet and P&L accounts. Oversee fixed asset accounting and ensure effective asset lifecycle management and capitalisation practices. Partner with senior business stakeholders to drive financial understanding and embed accounting best practices. Stakeholder Engagement: Partner closely with business unit General Managers, Finance Senior Leadership teams and the ELT and SLT to ensure the best outcome for Linfox and our partners. Maintain close association with external auditors, Regulatory Bodies (ATO, ASIC) and consultants/advisors. Liasing and presenting to the Board, Finance and Audit Committee. Are you the one? You will be a Group finance leader within a large dynamic organisation looking for your next senior opportunity. With demonstrated experience in leading multi-discipline teams, you will have managed external audits and regulatory compliance with presentation to ELT/Board levels. You will have worked closely with operations and traditional business units and can develop relationships both internally with senior executives. Other skills and knowledge include: Bachelor’s degree in business, Accounting, Commerce or Finance CPA or CA qualification and membership Experience working in a large consultancy group with recent industry experience Expert understanding of Australian Accounting Standards and IFRS. Knowledge and proven skills in: SAP/S4Hana, Concur and Billing systems - desirable Demonstrated high level of communication and interpersonal skills Leadership experience of a diverse skilled team highly desirable.
