Ground Theory Instructor CAE is a global leader in aviation training, committed to delivering excellence in pilot training and development. We are seeking an appropriately qualified and experienced Ground Theory Instructor to support the delivery of our Ground Theory subjects to our Domestic and International Airline cadets based at Moorabbin, Melbourne. The successful candidate will work closely with culturally diverse students, many of whom speak English as a second language. Key Responsibilities: Deliver structured ground theory instruction in accordance with the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) approved curriculum. Facilitate classroom-based learning and provide academic support to students pursuing their Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL). Adapt delivery methods to support students with varying levels of English proficiency. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and performance. Assist in the development and continual improvement of training materials and assessments. Support integration between theoretical knowledge and practical flight training. Tutoring support and ongoing development of LMS Participate in instructor meetings, standardisation sessions, and professional development activities. Why join us? Qualification and experience The ability to teach CASA PPL & CPL A Flight Instructor Rating (plus Cert IV in Training and assessment highly regarded) Demonstrated experience delivering PPL and CPL ground theory training in a structured classroom environment. Experience working with students from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex topics clearly. Ability to adapt teaching techniques for students with English as a second language. Desirable: The ability to teach CASA ATPL is desirable but not essential. Fluency in Mandarin to support Mandarin-speaking students. Prior experience working in an international flight training environment. Familiarity with CASA training frameworks and regulatory requirements So, what are we looking for in a CAE Ground Theory Instructor?
