This is an exceptional opportunity to lead a dynamic function at the intersection of finance, technology, data, and transformation, within one of Australia’s most prominent media and content groups. The Role This critical leadership role is responsible for modernising, enhancing, and streamlining finance operations while enabling strategic insights and efficiencies across the business. The successful candidate will lead a high-performing team of managers and analysts to deliver best-in-class finance systems, data governance, analytics, automation, and AI capabilities. Key Responsibilities Ensure the availability, security, and robustness of finance systems, data, and tools to support core business and compliance needs. Lead the development and enhancement of analytics capabilities through platforms such as TM1, Tableau, Looker, Alteryx, and IBM Planning Analytics. Oversee management reporting improvements, dashboarding, and the generation of actionable insights for strategic decision-making. Identify and deliver opportunities for automation and process efficiency using RPA and AI tools. Lead project delivery across ERP optimisation, reporting automation, data standardisation, and digital initiatives. Establish and enforce robust data governance frameworks, ensuring quality, integrity, and compliance. Serve as a strategic partner to the CFO and finance leadership in shaping the long-term finance technology vision. Manage and develop a team of ~10 analysts and managers to deliver operational excellence and continuous improvement. Collaborate across business functions to align finance system initiatives with broader organisational goals. Engage and manage external service and software providers to ensure delivery and value realisation.
